This is the true story of the first time I ever travelled outside of Ontario. I had never even flown on an airplane before and yet I was a chaperone on an amazing high school trip with my daughter. What this story does not tell you is that a few years after this trip my daughter Robin died suddenly of a blood clot. I feel like she was preparing me somehow for this ultimate Goliath.
In 2000 I fell into a 30-foot hole while snowboarding.
